GHRP-6 – Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 6 (GHRP-6)

GHRP-6 is a true Hgh secretagogue. It is a mimetic and analog Ghrelin. Ghrelin is produced
predominantly by cells in the fundas of the stomach. It increases just before a meal and decreases after
a meal. It is a potent stimulator of GH production and release from the anterior pituitary gland, by acting
on the GH secretagogue receptor (called the Ghrelin receptor) This is in contrast to the GHRH peptides
(like CJC1295) which act on the GHRH receptor.

The increase in GH secretion due to GHRP6 (and other GHRP) leads to an increase in IGF-1 (though to be
the anabolic mechanism of GH) As we get older GH and subsequently IGF-1 decrease substantially. This
decline is thought to be one of the major causes of the ageing process. By increasing these levels again
there is increased collagen synthesis, promotion of lean muscle mass, bone strength, improved healing
capability, improved sleep cycle, increased energy, repair and regeneration of internal organs,
strengthening of joint/cartilage/connective tissue, and anti aging effects on the skin. GHRP-6 has been
shown in studies via a different pathway to IGF-1 to neuroprotective.

Ghrelin has potent lipogenic properties. The Growth hormone releasing peptides available have variable
levels of the lipogenic behaviour. GHRP6 stimulated appetite, which has obvious health benefits in those
wishing to gain weight. It does slow some lipogenic property when administered at time of high insulin
levels. To avoid this and lead to more lean muscle production it is often given before meals.
GHRP-6 (and other GH releasing peptides) are synthistic with GH releasing hormones (for example
CJC1295). This synergy is because they work on different receptors to lead to the production and release
of GH. GHRP6 also supresses somatostain, which has the inhibitory effect on GHRH. GHRP6 also leads to
an increase of GH production and release per each somatotrope (cells in the anterior pituitary that
produce and release GH).

From this there is a lot of potential for GHRP6 to improve our health and other anti aging processes. By
increasing GH and IGF-1 we can feel better, and lead potentially healthier lives.

GHRP2 Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide – 2 (GHRP2)

Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2 (GHRP2) is a peptide made up of just 6 amino acids, which
stimulates secretion of endogenous GH. Research shows GHRP2 can stimulate the pituitary to increase
secretion of GH by 7-15 times, stimulating ghrelin receptors. GHRP2 acts as a synthetic ghrelin analogue
(without the hunger effects). Specifically, GHRP2 will increase the number of somatotropin in a GH pulse
by limiting the amount of the somatostanin present while standard GHRH increases the amplitude at
which the pituitary cells pulse.

The main effects of GHRP2 are GH secretion, fat mass decrease and muscle mass increase, lowering of
cholesterol level, skin and bone strengthening, protection of the liver and anti-inflammatory action.
GHRP2 possesses many repair properties that can be attributed to its immune boosting function.
